Technical Office
Our Technical Office team manages the technical information required to carry out the construction of industrial facilities. This involves extending engineering to the construction front, ensuring execution aligns with technical specifications while articulating the quality, safety, and schedule standards defined for the construction phase.
Hytech positions itself as a strategic partner during construction, providing active technical support to facilitate decision-making, minimize risk, and ensure proper interpretation and execution of engineering deliverables.
With an end-to-end approach, our involvement spans from validating engineering for construction through to final documentation and “as-built” drawings — including field modification management and technical support across disciplines.as.
Our main responsibilities include the following:
1. Technical Documentation Review
We review engineering documentation, material take-offs, construction drawings (AFC), and supporting documents to ensure all technical information is updated, clear, and applicable in the field.
2. Change Control and Interference Resolution
We develop solutions for engineering changes in the field and their potential specifications, assessing their impact on schedule, cost, and scope. We facilitate resolution of interdisciplinary clashes and ensure their correct implementation.
3. Technical Support on Site
We provide ongoing support to construction teams, validate field solutions, and channel technical queries to the appropriate disciplines — ensuring technical decisions are correctly implemented.
4. Documentation Validation and As-Built Generation
We validate modified information during execution to develop the final “as-built” documentation for client handover — a key step for future operation and project closure.
5. Construction Management Support
We assist with monitoring real construction progress and provide support in logistics when required — always in alignment with the project's quality, safety, and environmental guidelines.
7. Commissioning
We act as the technical guarantor that functional systems are being activated in a safe and controlled manner. We assess the electrical energization sequence, functional testing of rotating equipment, control valves, instrument loops, and automated systems. We participate in reviewing cause-and-effect matrices, logic testing, and system acceptance. All activities are conducted in coordination with the EPC contractor, who executes them under protocols validated by the Owner Engineer.
8. Start-Up
We support the plant’s transition from minimum operating conditions to full nominal load. We monitor critical variables, safety conditions, and equipment performance in accordance with engineering specifications. We validate system acceptance criteria, compile technical closure data, and assist in resolving operational contingencies. We collaborate with the client’s operations team to ensure a smooth and sustainable handover to continuous operation.
6. Pre-Commissioning (Precom)
We verify that physical installations have been built according to AFC engineering. We support mechanical testing (hydrostatic tests, air blowing, chemical cleaning, and flushing) performed by the EPC contractor. We also review and approve pre-commissioning procedures proposed by the EPC and assess quality reports, test results, and open items — ensuring no critical deviations exist prior to commissioning.
In summary, the Technical Office team is the bridge between engineering and the field. Our management capabilities, comprehensive technical insight, and operational flexibility make us a strategic ally for the efficient, orderly, and safe execution of complex projects — supporting the client from day one through to full plant start-up.
