Civil, Structural, and Architectural Engineering
Our Civil, Structural, and Architectural Engineering team is responsible for designing, calculating, and supervising the works that make up the support infrastructure of industrial plants. This includes earthworks, foundations, structures, roadways, and drainage systems — always in coordination with the environment and other engineering disciplines. Their responsibilities include the following tasks:
1. Earthworks
We participate in soil studies to determine load-bearing capacity, identify geotechnical risks, and define appropriate foundation solutions. We also coordinate topographic surveys to plan plant layout and slopes for proper water runoff, aligned with hydrological studies. Based on this information, we analyze and optimize the necessary earthworks for project execution.
2. Civil and Structural Design
We design foundations, concrete and steel structures, industrial buildings — including architectural layout — access roads, drainage systems, and other works required for proper plant operation. We use structural analysis tools to account for static and dynamic loads, wind, seismic activity, soil conditions, and applicable standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, CIRSOC).
3. Documentation
We develop technical documentation, including calculation reports, concrete and steel structure details, construction drawings, earthworks plans, roads, drainage systems, and field templates. These may also include cost estimates or contract packages for construction. Documents must be accurate, well-coordinated with other disciplines, and aligned with project specifications.
4. Site Supervision and Quality Control
During construction, our team oversees technical office activities and participates in construction management. This includes supervision of work execution, material control (concrete, steel, compacted soil), enforcement of procedures, and assurance of compliance with schedules and quality standards.
5. Multidisciplinary Coordination
We work closely with Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Process teams to ensure that structures and foundations are properly adapted to the equipment and systems they support. This coordination prevents interferences and facilitates both installation and future maintenance.
6. Regulatory Compliance
Se asegura de que todas las obras civiles cumplan con los códigos de construcción locales e internacionales, así como con los estándares del Cliente, las políticas internas de la empresa y las regulaciones específicas del sector energético.
